ok so ive been obsessed with coffee since i was about 7. im 17 and about 6yrs ago my cousin made the MOST AMAZING tasting latte, and it was a krups machine. i dont know what model or anything but i wanted the Krups XP1500 Coffee & Espresso Combination Machine since its only $ 100 and I really dont wanna spend more than $ 100-$ 150ish since i am ONLY 17 but i read bad reviews how it breaks down so im not getting it is there any GOOD yet cheap espresso machine?

i might buy DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker…is it good? any other suggestions?

ok so i got a krups exprosso maker it was like 100 dollares and i have been tryin to make exprosso for a while but it always just looks like really dark coffee and taste lke burnt coffee (its a steam exprosso maker) but why dose it taste like that ??? plzzz dont say its just cause its a crapy exprosso maker because i have read reviews and people say it makes great exprosso and i have all my messerments right and the right type of coffee?? so what is it ??

Sorry.. That’s what espresso is. It’s highly concentrated coffee, and is very bitter.

Is there any way you can take the maker back and get your money? If so, put $ 70 in the bank and buy a Mr. Coffee with the rest. It makes very good coffee.

Yet another coffee and diarrhea question…

Why would coffee I brew at home cause diarrhea while coffee I buy at a store or shop (or McD’s) does not?

- Same problem at home, Maxwell House or Starbucks. Diluted coffee still causes problems, though not as strong.
- Always drink coffee black w/ no sugar.
- Usually drink strongest coffee available at shops.
- Tend to use simple Braun or Krups drip makers.
- Have tried doubling up filters.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? Can brewing method make that much of a difference? I would think a percolator of french press would be even worse if it is a matter of how much caffeine is ending up in the final cup.

yes but i also find that any warm liquid passing through your body first thing in the morning or after sleeping or resting for 5 or more hours is going to get your bowels going…. odd that store bought coffee wouldnt have that effect…..

Question by Matt D: Are there any reliable grind and brew coffee makers?
I just sold my Keurig B40 because I thought the coffee tasted terrible. I am looking for a machine that grinds and brews so that I can have fresh ground/brewed coffee in the morning and set a timer to do both. So far my search has found that these machines tend to be quite unreliable. Some people love their Krups, about the same amount of people say theirs stopped working after 5-6 months. Seems to be the same situation with the Kitchen Aid series. If anyone has a great grind and brew machine that has worked for a year or more and isn’t insanely priced please let me know. Thanks.

Filters make almost NO difference in the final brew, and that difference, if it even exists, is so slight that you would have to be a trained connoisseur to detect it. The only difference you will notice is in the price you pay, concentrate on the quality of coffee rather than the filters, I have yet, in 60 years ever heard of anyone who could sample a cup of coffee and say that it was filtered through a Melita, Krups or Brew Rite.
